The original poster was distributed by legendary Italian advertising company, Ricordi, and created by pioneering illustrator Leopoldo Metlicovitz, as an ad for a company in Milan, Italy. Metlicovitz was an Italian painter, advertiser, illustrator and stage designer whose poster work continues to be coveted by collectors and displayed in museums today.
